Government Holiday Calendar 2024 Bangladesh With PDF Download
The government of Bangladesh has approved the list of Government holiday calendar 2024 Bangladesh. The list was released by the Ministry of Public Administration on 31 October 2024 after approval in the Cabinet meeting on 28 October. According to him, next year as per the general and executive orders the leave will be 22 days. Although there is a total of 22 days of general and executive order holidays, there are 6 days of weekly holidays on Friday and Saturday.
There will be a 14-day general holiday on National Day and important religious days of different communities. Of these, 3 days an employee may be allowed to enjoy three days of optional leave in a year with general, executive order, and weekly leave according to his / her religion.
Offices, agencies, and institutions whose holidays are regulated by their own laws or whose jobs have been declared as essential by the government, the concerned offices, agencies, and institutions will declare leave in accordance with their own laws and regulations considering the public interest.

Optional holidays for employees belonging to minority ethnic groups in and around the Chittagong Hill Tracts include April 12 and 15, social festivals similar to Vaisabi and other small ethnic groups in the CHT.
The leaving order states that an employee may be allowed to enjoy no more than three days of optional leave per year, depending on his religion. Each employee must obtain the prior approval of the appropriate authority to enjoy three days of optional leave as per his / her religion at the beginning of the year.
The order further said that the general leave, the executive order may be allowed to enjoy optional leave in conjunction with government leave and weekly leave. In the case of offices whose, schedules and holidays are regulated by their own laws and regulations, or in the offices, agencies, and institutions whose jobs have been declared as essential by the government, the concerned offices, agencies, and institutions shall consider the leave in accordance with their own rules and regulations.
