Those of you who are alive and sentient in the year 2006 probably remember that, compared to these days, our senses of humor were… different. Some things that were okay to joke about back then are a bit tasteless by modern standards, which is why some folks were concerned about Destroy All Humans 2 Reprobed being censored in some way. So, is Destroy All Humans 2 Reprobed censored?

Is Destroy All Humans 2 Reprobed Censored?

Worry no more, because Destroy All Humans 2 Reprobed is completely and totally uncensored, for better or worse. While the game has received a big overhaul in terms of its graphics, gameplay, and general quality of life, its story, script, performances, and portrayals are completely untouched from the original 2006 release.

Now again, humor, especially in video games, was a lot different back then, so there are some things that young players and the modesty-minded might not care for. These include, but are most certainly not limited to, references to recreational drug use, quite a few distasteful racial and national stereotypes, and a lot of sexual innuendoes. Like, a lot of sexual innuendoes. The fact that Crypto has a functioning… package, let’s call it, is repeatedly referenced throughout both the game’s main story and its sidequests, one of which is about an alien deity named “Arkvoodle, Lord of the Sacred Crotch.” Oh, and there’s a lot of casual murder and property damage too, but there’s still plenty of that nowadays as well.

If you were hoping for this game to be exactly how you remembered it growing up, then good news, you’re getting exactly that. If you find that kind of stuff offensive or distasteful, well, that’s how it was in 2006. It’s all in the name of good fun, I assure you.
