Minimum & Recommended PC Specs Explained

Guides

What the Valorant system requirements are for minimum and recommended PC specs.

Below, you’ll find the minimum and recommended specs for playing Valorant on PC at 30 frames-per-second. Keep in mind that while this is fine, as is the case with most shooters, the higher your framerate, the better your experience is going to be, and possibly the bigger advantage you’ll have over other players. Ideally, you want to be aiming for a consistent 60 FPS as an absolute minimum.

That’s because Valorant is a tactical shooter that rewards precision, and smoother framerates help you to react faster and see enemies with more clarity. Put simply, the faster and silkier your framerate, the more fluid your movements will be, which can have an impact on the accuracy of your shots.

Valorant Minimum PC Requirements (30 FPS)

  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400, AMD Athlon 200GE
  • Graphics Card: Intel HD 4000, Radeon R5 200
  • RAM: 4 GB
  • VRAM: 1GB
  • Storage Space: At least 10GB
  • Operating System:  Windows 7/8/10 64-Bit
  • Processor: Intel i3-4150, AMD Ryzen 3 1200

  • RAM: 4 GB
  • VRAM: 1GB
  • Storage Space: At least 10GB
  • Operating System: Windows 7/8/10 64-Bit

If you’re wanting to give yourself the competitive edge in Valorant, then you’ll want to try and aim for a 144 FPS framerate. Of course, you’ll only be able to get the full benefit of this if you have a compatible display/ monitor, so keep this in mind.

What Is the Best CPU For Valorant? Answered

Generally speaking, Valorant is not a graphically demanding game. It is possible to achieve relatively high framerates even with old-fashioned graphics cards, including the ones listed above for the 30 FPS minimum target. The real difference maker tends to be the CPU, and in our experience, Ryzen processors are superior to Intel. If you’ve ever seen streamers or professional players running 500+ FPS, they’ll typically be using Ryzen processors such as the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X or better.

Now, this isn’t to say you can’t achieve decent framerates on Intel processors, because you absolutely can. But if you’re building out a PC specifically to play games like Valorant and CS:GO and you’re on a budget, you’d probably be better investing in a Ryzen processor given that they’re typically less expensive.

That’s everything you need to know on the Valorant system requirements, both for the minimum and recommended specs for your PC to play the game at 30fps and 144fps. For more tips and tricks, be sure to search for Twinfinite or check out more of our coverage on the game below.
