Ooblets Brings Cute Creature Dance-Offs To Switch In September
After a lengthy period in Early Access, Ooblets will finally launch on 1st September! Announced for a summer release on Switch earlier this year, this weird and wonderful farming sim meets creature collector will be bringing plenty of colour and cuteness to our lives.
If you never thought that mushrooms, jellyfish (??) with legs and boots, and acorn penguins (????) could be adorable, developer Glumberland has proved us all wrong. In Ooblets, you get to raise a plethora of puny, preternatural creatures while designing your house, raising a farm, and saving the town of Badgetown!
But don’t forget about the dance-offs, the most important part of any creature-collecting game — Pokémon‘s beauty contests are shaking. Glumberland says that this is “A pretty weird game about farming, creature collection, and dancing”! We’re not making any of this up.
The game will also be getting a physical release from Fangamer. Pre-orders are open now for only $34, and as well as the boxed version of the game, you’ll also get a lovely little collection of goodies, which we’ve listed below:
- Map artwork by Bree Lundberg
- Postcard artwork by Francisco Riolobos
- Sticker sheet artwork by Carissa Cornelius
Physical versions of the game will be shipping from 21st October. You can pre-order your copy of the game now over on Fangamer, or if you’re just looking to download the game, you can check it out on both the UK and US Switch eShop.
Ooblets launches on 1st September. Will you bet getting your dancing shoes on and raising some weird little fellas? Let us know!
