In 2024, the rap world suffered a great loss when 10 of its most talented and well-known artists died. Some had been in the industry for decades, while others were just starting to make a name for themselves. Here are 10 of the most well-known rappers who died that year. 1. DJ Kay Slay
DJ Kay Slay, the influential mixtape maker and hip-hop’s “drama king,” has died on 17th April 2024. He was 55. The cause of death was complications related to Covid-19.
DJ Kay Slay released four studio albums, The Streetsweeper, Vol. 1, The Streetsweeper, Vol. 2, The Champions: North Meets South (with Greg Street), and More Than Just a DJ.

2. Goonew
Goonew was shot and killed in District Heights, Maryland on 18th March 2024. Goonew, was just 24 years old, he died after suffering life-threatening injuries during a shooting in a parking lot in District Heights, Md.
3. Sidhu Moosewala
Sidhu Moose Wala, 28yrs old, a popular singer from Punjab, India was shot and killed on 29th May 2024 after being shot by unidentified assailants. Moose Wala was a popular figure in the Punjabi music industry, and his death has sparked an outpouring of grief from fans and fellow musicians alike.
4. Trouble
The Atlanta rapper Trouble, real name Mariel Semonte, 34yrs old dies at an apartment complex in Georgia. The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the news of his death to local media on 5th June 2024, reason of death was gun shot wound found on his body.
5. Rollie Bands
Florida rapper Rollie Bands was shot dead in front of his home. He was 35yrs , shot dead on 2nd july 2024. Rollie Bands was a popular sound cloud rapper in the Florida. He was known for his catchy lyrics and party-themed songs.

6. FBG Cash
FBG Cash, a Chicago rapper, who was 31-years-old at the time and real name Tristian Hamilton, was reportedly shot and killed on 10th June 2024. He was a member of the street gang “Fly Boy Gang”.

7. Jaydayoungin
Louisiana rapper JayDaYoungan has died after a fatal shooting in Bogalusa, La. He was 24. The rapper, whose real name is Javorius Tykies Scott, was best known for his songs “23 Island” and “Elimination.”

8. Lil Keed
Rapper Lil Keed, who was signed to Young Thug‘s record label, died on 13th May 2024. He was 24 years old. The rapper, whose legal name is Raqhid Jevon Render debuted his first studio album, “Long Live Mexico,” in 2019, which he followed up with his sophomore album “Trapped on Cleveland 3” in 2020.
9. Snootie Wild
Memphis rapper Snootie Wild was shot dead in Houston. American rapper Snootie Wild was shot in the neck and found in a ditch next to an SUV in Dallas, Texas. He was best known for his song “Yayo” with Yo Gotti.
10. Sad Frosty
Sad Frosty the young rapper, who was only 24 years old, died on 16th January 2024. His most popular song, the bass-heavy trap track “Swerve” from his 2019 album “Playground,” has garnered over 13 million Spotify plays.
