As we approach another Battle Pass and another month of Master Duel. Konami has announced a new ban list coming into effect from August 31st. There are some cards that have been hit and some that have been deemed to weak in the current format.

The ban list works as follows: BANNED cards are cards that are not permitted within your deck or extra deck at any time, LIMITED cards you can use 1 copy of in your main deck or extra deck and SEMI-LIMITED cards you can use up to 2 copies in your main deck and extra deck.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel Limited and Forbidden Card List Changes

The obvious hits of Destiny HERO – Celestial and Fusion Destiny are KONAMI’s way to try and deteriorate players away from the notorious Destiny HERO – Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer as this fusion monster is very tricky to get around during a duel.

Very interesting KONAMI’s take in limiting Pot of Prosperity and Crossout Designator as this can lead to fewer creative decks being used and players divulging more towards meta archetypes.

Unsurprisingly, we also see the inclusion of Skill Drain on the list even though there has been calls throughout the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG and Master Duel communities to limit the card to 1 or even forbid it altogether.
