Carlos Alcaraz beats Novak Djokovic to enter Madrid Open Final

Earlier on Saturday, Carlos Alcaraz got the better of Novak Djokovic in a thrilling contest to make it to the final of the 2024 Madrid Open.

Carlos Alcaraz continued his fabulous run at the Madrid Open this year by beating Novak Djokovic in three sets during Saturday’s semifinal encounter. The Spaniard also became the youngest player to defeat the reigning World No.1 since Nadal defeated Federer at Roland Garros in 2005.

Alcaraz fell behind against Djokovic in the first set but then powered his way back to win the match 6-7(5), 7-5, 7-6(5) and reach the final of the Madrid Open. It was also a sensational achievement as he previously beat ‘King of Clay’ Rafael Nadal in the previous round.

Now, he is expected to face the winner of the second semi-final between Alexander Zverev and Stefanos Tsitsipas. Fans on Twitter were also quick to react to Alcaraz beating another tennis legend at such a tender age.
