Rhea Ripley has joined ‘The Judgement Day’
The Nightmare Rhea Ripley finally pledged her allegiance to Edge’s heel stable after the WWE Hall of Famer’s match against AJ Styles at WrestleMania Backlash.
Edge faced AJ Styles in a WrestleMania rematch on Sunday at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island at WWE’s latest pay-per-view event, WrestleMania Backlash.
The match ebbed and flowed as the two veterans of pro wrestling delivered some exhilarating moments to captivate the WWE Universe. The Rated-R Superstar took advantage of Styles’ injured shoulder throughout the match.
Towards the closing stages, Damian Priest came up to the aisle to distract Styles but Finn Balor came out to take the Archer of Infamy out. Styles was perched on the top rope looking to hit a Phenomenal Forearm to win the match. However, as the referee was distracted, a masked assailant came out of nowhere and dropped Styles.
Edge took advantage as he locked in a submission hold and Styles went unconscious to give the leader of The Judgement Day another victory.
What happened after the match?
The match was intriguing but what happened after the match got the WWE Universe buzzing even more.
As the match ended, Edge was thrilled and the masked assailant entered the ring and took a knee to pledge her allegiance to the 11-time world champion.
The assailant went on to reveal herself and it was none other than former Raw Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley. Edge and Ripley celebrated in the ring to close the segment.
Reports had emerged a long time back that Ripley was in line to join Edge’s heel stable. Ripley turned heel after attacking her former tag team partner Liv Morgan a few weeks ago on Raw.
Now that the Australian star has joined Edge’s dominant faction, it seems she will be given a major push and maybe challenge Bianca Belair next up for the Raw Women’s Championship.
